Wink Weird Behavior

Hi Guys-

'97 D1 with 116k. Took the wife and dog out to the beach yesterday, the first bit of a break in the rain over the last 2-3 weeks. Truck started normally and ran fine. Backed out of the driveway and stopped with a firm pedal. Drove about 25 miles, a few stops along the way. Curvy, hilly coastal roads and 70MPH on the freeway were uneventful. Transmission shifted normally. No overheating.

With the recent rains, there was a 50-60' long stretch on the beach access road where the nearby creek had overflowed, probably 8" deep at the middle, and the D1 handled this fine. All the windows worked fine, and the sunroofs haven't been leaking during the storms, though I didn't need to test them on this trip. Heat controls, defroster and wipers worked as expected. There were no weird sounds. Return trip was the same.

Anyone know how I should handle this strange behavior?
