I would have to reset adaptive values (high idle) every-other month or so for the better part of two years until I installed a brand new alternator back in September.
Has a Jeep IACS. Installed, 2016-ish.

Britpart Lynx = what I use for GEMS D1 96-99 D1. Works great but stay the heck away from the 10AS menu as it jacked up 2 10AS modules when I messed with it.

Other than the cooling system working out a bubble I've put 200 trouble free miles on her in the last few days. No weird shifting, lovely idle characteristics, almost 15mpgs (!!!). Like anything with an engine and wheels it seems to benefit from being driven.

Tomorrow I'm going to pull the IAC and give it a clean, just because. I'll also double check the alternator output. The battery is brand new, and I'm not having any charging issue, but it never hurts to double check.

Thank you everyone!

The old alternator didn't show any obvious signs of voltage/charging issues but there must of been something going on. When it went, it went.

You probably know this truck.

It's on a 2" TF MD lift, 32x10.50 Patagonias, has TF relocation cones front and rear with their spring retainers, SS brake hoses, LED headlights

Maintenance so far:
180* thermostat, new upper and lower rad hoses, and overflow bottle
oil change with the big k&n filter
oil cooler hoses
Pads and rotors, swivel ball seals, axle seals, and wheel bearings in the front axle
manifold and y pipe gaskets
cat back exhaust
Trans flush, fluid, and filter
One of these days I'm gonna do the valve cover gaskets

Today I pulled the IAC and cleaned it, and smoke tested for vacuum leaks. No vacuum leaks were found, and the idle characteristics continue to act weird. It's either the IAC getting "lost" or the ECU "losing" the IAC.

I ordered the NAPA IAC, it'll be in tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

The transmission has been behaving well.

Say, do you already have a way to reset your adaptive values?

Yeah, I do it with the GEMS utility app and a bluetooth dongle like 6 times a day. Haha
