Mine did the same thing after I put my 3" under it. It ended up being the U joint on the front shaft at the transfer case. Try taking out your front shaft and locking the CDL and drive around for a few miles see if the vibe goes away.

There not bad to replace. I can do them in about 45 min for both doing them with my press. Ive also done them trailside using a hammer and a few sockets (not near as easy) but if you have a bbig vise there not bad to do either

Make sure you inspect your rotoflex before you replace u-joints.

And if you do have a bad u-joint make sure you replace them all.

I dont have a rotoflex...

Getting a u joint tool rented from autozone..but getting precision joints from o'reilys.

I knew there was something wrong, even with the wore out suspension i felt it a bit....the new suspension just made it more obvious.

All four will be replaced.

what socket does it take? the flange bolts

There are 2? years of DI with 4 u-joints. I know for sure late model year '97's have 4 u-joints as well as all '98's, not sure about '99 DI's.
