Went off roading, left something behind...
So i went off roading yesterday with a bunch of trucks with six inch lifts, 38s, etc. and was a little worried that i wouldn't be able to keep up. Turns out i had it the easiest getting through everything. Ran into one problem though, I went into a large bowl/hole, and on the way out i had to back up to give myself more room, in the process ripping off my rear muffler, lol. What's funny though is that my car runs better now?? it's not holding back like it used to.... I even asked my room mate to drive the car (drives it on a regular basis) and he saw a difference too. Also, both my cats were burnt out, so my exhaust system is pretty much just there for show, except for the forward muffler. My car's registered in non emission testing state, so i don't have to worry about passing smog or emmissions. should i go ahead and replace the exhaust system with something after market? or leave it be?
I also took off the plastic pieces on the front bumper, including the end caps, I like it 10x more than before.

I always LOVE to hear the stories of guys with stock Disco's keeping up with built Chevy's and Ford's with diesels and Super Swampers and 5" lifts.
As for the exhaust, you could have one custom built for you for alot less then a actual replacement system.
Leave the cats there, have them replace the center muffler and then custom bend pipe the rest of the way back.
I am also in the process of pricing exhaust systems.

I would say if the pipe and everything is good why not just keep rollin without them if you live in a non emission area.
I had my cats replaced for $250. Magnaflow high flow cats. do that and put in new O2's and your fuel mileage will go up.
Also, just replace the center muffler with a flowmaster and turn down the tip where your rear resonator was.
