What brand of oil do you prefer to use in your Discos? What has seemed to work best for you so far?

Keep in mind I am in an area which is (almost) always warm or HOT.

Engine - Shell T6
Diffs - 85w 140
R380 - Redline MTL 70w 80
and for those special occasions, KY

Castrol GTX High Milage 10/40 all year round for the past few years. Going to try out 25/40 when it starts to get a little warmer. I'm going to test oil pressure with the 10/40; cold and warm, at idle and high rpm, then test with the 25/40 and see what happens.

hey, is the special occasion lube only available in one viscosity, or is there a winter weight available also ? It's possible to have a special occasion at 30 below here in the north.

You can make your own 'special occasion' lube fairly easily. You get a high maintenance, but great looking lube and pour it into the engine using a small black dress as a screen/filter.
