Default What is the step by step process for using seafoam?

Was thinking of using seafoam in my gas tank. Never done this before so I'm not really sure how to go about this safely. Do I put it in when my car is on ,E, or put it in with a full tank? Also is seafoam better than a fuel injector cleaner? I'm not the most car savey person but I'm trying to learn... Had my disco 99 for about a year now, anything else I should do to give my truck a pick-me-up? Thanks

Step 1: put it in your gas tank on a full tank

done

otherwise change your drivetrain oils, grease your shafts, change plugs and wires, change coolant if it needs it.

Once I have the seafoam in my tank, do I just drive around like I normally would? I've seen some videos where people put there car in neutral and rev it until the smokes gone. And other videos where people drive around to let it smoke out.

Just drive the poor beast and wait for "the magic" to happen. Please don't get your hopes up too high...IMHO Sea Foam is a joke.
But it's your $ and if it makes you feel better to use it, then Good Luck!

I put mine into the intake manifold. I got a 5/16 vacuum hose to connect up to the smallest and lowest vacuum (should be 3 on that side of the intake manifold) input and attached a pair of lock pliers to the line after I stick it into the bottle. Then, I started the truck, and went over to slowly release the lock pliers as to control the flow so it would not flood out. After I got all of it in, I shut the truck off for 30 min and during that time, cleaned my throttle body and idle control, after replacing the nipple on the intake manifold.

After 30 minutes, I start up the truck (no fuel peddle) and then drive it until it stops with the white smoke.

IMHO...
Seafoam in gas tank ... meh... I guess it works... maybe.
Seafoam sucked through the intake manifold with a vacuum hose ... this way possibly works better since having a more concentrated Seafoam solution rather than it being diluted with the fuel in the tank.
Induction system cleaning with Seafoam where it's a gradually pressurized and metered process ... BINGO!

Techron in fuel tank, usually takes two bottles/tanks. It won't make your Rover a top fuel monster but it can smooth out the idle when it works. Best to swap your injectors or have em pro cleaned or buy an LS6 crate motor.
