Default Where to buy '97 Disco Parts

Pardon me if I am in the wrong thread. We are having a hard time finding rocker panels for our '97 disco. Not the decorative covers, mind you, but the actual steel that welds to the sub-frame. Every search seems to turn up the chrome covers, which vendors are selling as "rocker panels."

Places like Roverlandparts.com sell frames but no mention of the rocker.

The floor wells in the front left and right are also rusted out but we can mold plated steel if need be (would be nice to find those, too).

Anyone know where a good place is to buy hard to find parts for these? I'd even take a salvage yard at this point.

Where are you located? Have you considered one of the parts guys that frequently posts on the forum? Or a salvage yard (a whole door is like $75 at yards near me). here have been posts from the wilds of San Juan PR about using diamond plate aluminum to replace even large panels like the rear floor.

BTW - you know you have it bad when vacations and business trips are planned to pass large pull it yourself salvage yards.....

How much of the panel do you need? I have several D1s for parts.

I can cut out a entire floor board and you can trim it down. Two things, shipping to where? And, would it be easier to swap out a cab?

Oops, should of mentioned where I live: Erie, Pa. We have a salvage yard near here but they don't have anything in good shape. Ideally, we'd be willing to go factory fresh if possible...that's my starting point. Salvage yard as a last resort.

Not clear on what you mean by "how much of the panel". It appears it's a single unit that goes from the front fender well to the rear and is attached to the frame. Mind you, we are not talking about the decorative covers here, but the rectangular steel that the cover would attach to. The floor also welds to it.

Shipping to Erie, Pa. The only thing this vehicle needs is the foot well (somewhat what Pinkytoe69 posted as pictures) as well as the rocker frame, so the entire cab would be overkill.

I'm in Erie, Pa. Do you have any name of good salvage yards that would ship to Pa.?

Even if I gave you the floor pan, I think shipping would negate any savings. If you are ever in TN..........
