So I read the entire thread from Rick1701 about a whining noise. I am not very versed with these type of things. I am having the same problem myself, it is weird though I have had it parked for a week and a half I just started it to move it and it started whining. I never had the whining problems before. At this point it only seems to whine when the wheels are turning. Thanks for any help

Your description is lacking. Is it belt / power steering related? Is there power steering fluid in it? I could throw darts at this one all day!

 

I know I will get a better description soon. I just wanted to somehow get started I was a little bummed that is started making that noise.

 

A whine when turning can be a simple as low power steering fluid (it is really red automatic transmission fluid or ATF), or can be pump problems.

 

There is low fluid but I have none to replace and see if that was the problem. I get back to everyone on that.

My rig has a PS fluid slow leak and will whine a bit when the fluid is low. It's been a very long time since I've had to add fluid. It didn't look low but it took a surprising amount when I added.

 

Thanks, I will add some more and see what happens. Does any brand work better than others, and should I add the Lucas PS leak stuff? To note, I have never seen a leak!
