Here are a few pictures of the sliders off the truck. They consist of angle iron, 2x2 square tubing and some bracing to the frame. Not a whole lot to these but they will def keep the rocks and whatever else off the doors.

Those pics are exactly what I wanted to see, Thanks!

Looks stout enough indeed.

Some stout tubing is pretty hard to beat. Round or square both offer lots of strength.

I see a lot of rigs with some pretty amazing larger size round tubing. There were so many metals manufacturers and processors in the Pittsburgh area since the invention of steel. Carnegie and several other rare individuals produced the majority of the steel products made during the late 19th and majority of the 20th century.

Alcoa was home based here as well. Lots of metals processors still exist in much smaller scale.

Being a transplant here, I am constantly amazed at some of the things around the area.

Ive only been to Pittsburgh twice but it was on business so I didn't get to see too much of the city, just the airport. These sliders are perfect if you don't mind the gap below the door and don't want to pay $600+ for a set. Anyone that can weld and cut metal can fab a set like this up in no time. It would also be pretty easy to put a custom touch on it like square or round nerfs. Beats the hell out of the plastic pieces under the door though.

If you should have the opportunity to get up here again, let me know.

Pittsburgh is a very eclectic city that is composed of some many different and diverse periods and cultures, the history is incredible.

Downtown is really small, most industry has left. It is a huge mixture of immigrants that came to work the coal mines, steel mills, railroad equipment, paint and glass factories and lots of other related industries.

Between Andrew Carnegie, George Westinghouse, the Fricks, the Mellons, and several other robber barons of their day it was once a thriving center of commerce in it's day. Gulf Oil was headquartered here as well.

Now they are struggling like a lot of other older cities, but it has an assortment of interesting places to visit and things to do. Carnegie Museum is one of them, absolutely amazing place. Andrew Carnegie also is responsible for most of the public libraries being established in the US. The main Library is part of the Pitt University Campus.

Westinghouse's home is also a museum. Henry Frick had the first automobile in Pittsburgh. His family mansion as well as carriage and car collection is on display as a combined museum and park.

Lots of good golf in the area as well as beautiful mountain areaes nearby.
