I've searched the forums for days and need help with window issues. First my back windows wouldn't work and now my fronts have stopped. The fronts were working fine and the backs weren't until the other day when the fronts stopped. I replaced the window ECU and now have back windows working great but still no front windows. The ECU clicks when the front switches are activated but no movement. Is there a relay I can replace? The fuses are fine. I replaced the ECU with one from my parts car that was working fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Hmmm, give me some time to think about this one.
Doubtful that both front window regulators went bad at the same time...must be something else...ecu clicks so fuse should be good...switch(s) must be good...

 

Did you guys ever figure it out?
1) Checked window regulators for the front and they both work when external power is applied.
2) Fuses are all good

3) Central switches checked and working

4) window ecu re-sodered and back windows now working. Also swapped out a spare window ecu from a Disco with working windows to make sure there was still not a problem with the re-soldered one.

Any ideas would help greatly.
