i only say that because a lot of the vw IDI guys use little pusher pumps to get rid of air in their systems while running, rather than fix the small leaks (usually in the pump) to begin with haha

Been spending a little time ironing out the bugs in the new D2 I bought, Head gaskets, o2 sensors etc... But it's coming along.

We dropped off the flywheel to a machinist for the D1 today... Should be ready in a week. First major step in mating it to the om617. STILL waiting on the aluminum plate for the adapter... Going to crack the trans later this week, see what needs to be ordered to get it up to snuff.

Got word that the Flex plate etc is done. Going to pick it all up tomorrow, and crack the R380 to see what it needs... Maybe I'll even toss up a pic or 2...

Great info from JAREK M about his putting a 7.3 IDI into a disco.... For those that don't know, He also has a om617 in a Disco (which it the truck I'm basing my build off for the most part)

Picked up the flywheel etc, Still have never received the stock needed to build the adapter so going to have to find it elsewhere. Seeing the Rover flywheel actually sitting on the back of the Merc engine was a nice step

Slowly but surely...

You pick up a turbo charger for this thing yet?

You going to sell this thing when it's all said and done? I'd buy it. Could be a good base for a Rockware tube buggy build

Got a turbo...

You would not want to pay what I would have to sell it for... Hell, the Engine was almost 8k by itself...

Mercedes Rebuilt Engines

Course if this all fails, I'll put it into a jeep or maybe a toyota... But so far it's looking good...
