I'll start.
I installed some new AllMakes(NOT recommended!) chassis side trailing arm bushings. Drove 4hrs north to Wisconsin. Moderate off roading for one day and I noticed the *** end of the truck would shimmy left/right whenever I gave the truck gas and then let off. Those new bushings were shot. The rubber had peeled back like a donut and was loose around the trailing arm. I was able to roll the rubber back into place and use some hose clamps to compress the rubber enough to drive the 4hrs home. I replaced with Orange Poly bushings from Lucky8 FTW.

Transmission cooler line broke in forest, repaired with radiator hose. Read all about it.

Not on my land rover, but on my 1990 Volvo.
Did a head job/turbo swap in my buddy's garage, everything buttoned up around 2am, craaaaaaaank no start.
Realized we weren't getting ignition because the lack of valve adjustment when we installed the new head.
Luck for us it's a SOHC, pilled the valve cover off and measured the shims, realize that we DO NOT have the correct shims to make the Turbo cam work.
We start looking around the garage for ideas, when I say: "hey, how about we take the NA cam from this other head you have laying around, and grind it to work?"
So I took this cam to the freaking bench grinder, grind it to spec, install it, works like a champ.
That was a year and a half ago, still running swell.

Awesome guys. No pics though?!
In April 2011 I was offroading with PT Schram at Badlands in Indiana. I tried to climb something a little too steep and basically hit the wall head on, LOL. Anyways, every time I would find it gas after that I'd hear this scraping sound. Popped the hood and my fam shroud has a slit cut/melted into it.
Turns out when I hit that wall I busted my drivers side motor mount. Every time I would give it gas the engine would torque up and to the passenger side, and the fan cut the shroud.
Decided to ratchet strap the engine to the frame. I was able to carefully wheel the rest of the day and then drive 4 hours home. I installed the Jaguar V12 motor mounts after that.
That's me on the ground.
