$140 Three Amigo Fix
Excerpt from an ad in our local craigslist for a 2003 DII:
"The vehicle does have the "Three Amigos". My research has informed me that it isn't harmful to the vehicle. (That's why I haven't bothered to fix it.)
I Also found out that it isn't too difficult to fix and only runs about $280 at the Land Rover dealer. So any other mechanic could do it for half the price."
Who knew is was so easy?!!!

Yes, and it's worked flawlessly since. Been about 6 months and multiple off road trips. I didn't even bother getting the codes read. Shop wanted $50 just for that. I just did it, and got lucky I guess. I would bet it would fix most 3 amigos problems though.
I fixed mine for free!
The shuttle valve switch was bad, so I carefully pulled the bad side apart and resoldered where the switch connects to the wires.
It's worked like a champ for 8 mos now.
Actually, I just realized it wasn't free. I had to rent an abs amigo to clear the abs codes.

I guess my attempt to jokingly mock that person's ad went wide of the mark.
It wasn't the claim that 3A's could be fixed for $140, - I know it can be done for the cost of a trailer connector..........IF......that's the only problem. What I found interesting was the blanket statement (to an uninitiated buyer) that "my research has informed me" that a DEALER would get rid of those pesky lights for just $280. This is without any indication that there had ever been a diagnostic run. That's a little hard to swallow, IMO.

That, and other bumper snickers like the "this is not a hybrid", and "Hummer Recovery Vehicle" , and "Lucas - Lord of Darkness" and "Keep back 100 feet - Oil Leaks" could become a new part of your product offerings.
