Default $300 to replace plug wires

I'm doing the majority of 60k service myself, but don't really wanna tackle changing out the wires. Does this seem likea reasonable quote to put the magnecor's on? It's an independent rover shop and they all drive rover's so I know I'm getting quality work.

Seems like dealership prices for just changing the wires. You can get the wires for around $100.

That's just the cost of installation, not including what I pay for wires. If this were my old jeep I wouldn't bat an eye, but changing these wires looks pretty cumbersome.

On the Disco II's I think it calls for 2.5hrs to 3hrs.
So that is a fair price.

I have helped on a Disco II before and it was no fun it took
us almost 4hrs.

That is correct. The intake manifold must be removed to replace the wires.

Unfortunately, abad design.

I priced out new wires a few weeks ago and was told $260 for just the wires. I went with the 8MM as sugested and saved the money.

8mm Magnacor wires are about $107 right now.
No you don't have to remove the intake manifold unless you have secondary ait, otherwise if you are patient you can install the wires with only a couple of skinned knuckles.
Most dealers charge right at 2 hours labor.
Never buy any other plug wire then the Magnacor.
