Default $35 MAF! A good idea?

Land Rover Discovery Mass Air Flow Sensor Meter 2002 02 | eBay

Should I be suspect or are these a good option?

GREAT IDEA for the Sellers! Easy to temp you away from $35 when your other options are $100 plus. What brands are these things?

It's up to you...it's a $35 gamble. But I live by a simple rule: The cheapest is NOT the least expensive!

I agree 100%, but wanted to ask.

BTW, what good $100 options do you know of. Cheapest I have seen for a OEM part is over $200

Can't tell if it's "good", but listed as BOSCH Part # 0280217532 @ Rockauto for $101.99 RockAuto Parts Catalog

More Information for BOSCH 0280217532

At least it doesn't look like a bosch knock-off like the ebay finds.

Check the part number on your bosch sensor... ending 532?

I figured it wouldnt work but gave it a shot anyway. As I expected, it threw codes almost immediately. I shot the seller a message with what happened. They said Ok, sorry about that, heres your money back. Keep the sensor, if it doesnt work then we don't want it back. So that's that. Erik (Lucky 8) has 3 options; AllMakes for like $50 which he hasn't had good luck with, Bosch for around $150 which he seemed to like, and OEM for ~$200+.

I had all sorts of problems with codes with cheap MAFs off of amazon and then got the bosch rockauto one for $110 and it worked great.
