minimal rubbing, probably just on the front bumper and on the radius arms when the steering is at full lock. ive always thought the 245s look small with a lift.

I'd really try to swing 5 tires if you can. You really need the same tire on all 4 wheels, and if you get 5 and rotate you spare in, odds are good you'll have at least 4 with equal tread for the life of the tires. Get 4 and one get's destroyed when you've got 1/4 - 1/2 tread left, you're in a pickle.

I came out total $550.
Talk to your local tire shops too.
Go the manufactures web site and check for rebates too.
AK Rover really likes the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac but they were $1000 for a set.
I was going to chime in and mention the Duratracs but Spike beat me to it. Apparently I'm not needed around here anymore.

I got my 5 Duratracs for $1000 mounted and balanced. They have been great in everything I have thrown at them. So far I've put them through snow, rain, rock, stream crossings, mud...well pretty much everything and they performed great. The aggressive tread does make a little noise on dry pavement but it's not bad.

I have the 245/75 with OME lift and the combination allows for a lot of articulation. The trails we have here in Colorado articulation is really important.

I'm thinking of either the cooper S/T's or the Duratracs though the cheapskate in me really wants to give the treadwright.com retreads a try.

Here's my thought on that. You can save money now by going with the treadwrights and while you run those into the ground save your pennies for your next set of tires.

I was really considering the treadwrights, but by time I added shipping(half way cross the country) and then mounting & balancing, wouldn't have made it worth it. Here's a link to an excellent review of them though
