Default 01 Disco II Rear Windshield Wiper Issue

Good morning all,

My 2001 Disco II's rear wiper has started doing this weird thing where it lifts off of the rear window and wags then I turn the button off and it returns to it's normal spot. Bad motor or is it just happy? Lol! Please help!

The rear windshield wiper lifts from the window and wags back and forth making a weird noise then I turn it off and it goes back to it's original spot. I know, it's super weird. I was wondering if it's a fuse issue, bad motor, or loose bolt...?

Wagging is usually an indication the the wiper arm needs to be replaced.

So it's the wiper arm that's bad and not the wiper motor?

Probably. The motor has nothing to do with keeping the blade in contact with the window.
