I have a question I hope some of you can help me with. I was told that my disco has a SMALL leak from the radiator, and that as long as I keep coolant in it and keep it checked it will not be a problem....but if it is worse, i will have to pay $1000 for the new one.....granted online I found radiators for 240 and could probably pay someone else to put it in for a total of 500..........have any of you ever had this problem before with your discovery and if you have is it really a big deal, or is it typical on landrovers and just need to keep it checked? That kind of scares me and makes me want to sell it now just in case, please let me know if i should relax and just hold on to it

 

You could use radiator stop leak, just pour it in and it seals all the little leaks.

D2 Rad failures are common. It won't get better, you need to have it replaced with the updated one.
Oil seepage is normal!

 

Thanks everyone for the help....but another question, is it pointless to pay landrover 1000 dollars to replace it when i can find the radiator online for 250 and have somenoe else do it???????? how much money am i looking at for this problem and would it be easier just to sell it??????
