02 Disco II P1842 & P1843 Codes
Hi everyone, I’m getting Codes P1842 & P1843. On the dash I see the red light next to the temperature gauge is on (engine has not overheated). I also have 2 flashing lights at the bottom of the panel with an M & S, and the Parking Brake light is on but parking brake is not engaged. When the key is on I can move the shift lever to all gears. The vehicle will crank over but is not getting fuel, I don’t hear the Fuel pump engage nor the Fuel injectors make their initial spray. I’ve tested the fuel pump, taken the battery to Autozone for a test and he said it was good, I changed the Crank shaft sensor. Not sure what else it could be. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, scroll down and you will see another member who had the same trouble. Stated he put the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in neutral and it started up. Did you happen to leave any light on or anything for a long duration? If it's not the battery, could be the alternator, once it's running, and old mechanic trick was to take the positive cable off of the battery. If it dies, it's a bad alternator, if it runs, good alternator.
