Default 02 Disco w/ electrical issue?

I have an 02 Disco w/ 120k miles. I've had trouble getting it started, the engine will crank but wont turn over, sometimes it will start. I was sitting idle in the drive thru and it shut off. All the interior was still working (radio, etc.). Waited 10 mins and it started up. Any suggestions on whats wrong.

I would check the fuel pressure on start-up, but that would not explain why it cut out after running. nor would a CPS

the Sport and Manual mode lights starting flashing. usually means battery, alternator or bad ground. you should stop by your local AP store and have them test the battery and alt.

Battery and alt are good. Ground wires then? Also it started to crank and stepped on the gas and it fired up, fuel pump maybe?

I'm having a hard time locating the schrader valve to check fuel pressure. Even looking at the RAVE manual left me confused.

Back by the coils, follow the plug wired around behind the engine and right above it on the silver tube/fuel rail. Looks like a tire valve, has a screw on cap.

you're looking at the air conditioner valves over by the fender, you need to be behind the engine.

rail is under the upper, in center, directly in front of coil packs. hard to see, but if you reach back behind it, you should feel it.
