Basically the exact same minus the facelift and different rear tail lights. The 02 "might" not have SAI while the 04 most certainly will (emission equipment). Interior fuse panels will not be interchangeable, Engine ECU won't be either, but that's about it.

if you want to go deep, pull the transfer case shifter off the '04 -- and the transfer case if your '02 doesn't have the lock facility -- and install them in the '02.

If the front end (headlights, grille) in the '04 are in good shape, you may want to think about swapping those over to your '02. I have had pre-facelift DII's which I went to the bother of finding and installing European headlights on, and they were a significant improvement over the stock US lights. However, the stock 03/04 headlights are much better than even the European lights. The only downside is the lenses are plastic, so they can be a bit of work to maintain in good, shape, but totally worth it, especially with the better bulbs available for those lights. The in-bumper rear tail lights also will swap, though you will have to use orange bulbs. Most things are interchangeable, as someone mentioned above, the center diff lock and the mechanism to operate it are worth grabbing. The 02 probably does not have SAI, as mentioned, though it might. Post pics of the air intake/engine bay if you're unsure. Most things are interchangeable, though the heads are different with SAI, so the engine might not be useful. Why is the 04 a parts car, btw? Rust and bad engines are common reasons, but there are other possibilities. I'm MassIrish, about 20 miles from Boston. Good luck with the DII; they're not perfect, but they are rewarding.

The 04 does not have a title additionally, it is a rust bucket it has amazing parts in it though so....... Do you know if the heated seats will swap? Saw rhat and though "that may be nice" won't do it until later though. Also any idea how to fix the headliner?
