Default 03 and 04 Disco Oil Pump failure indication system

I have an 03 and 04 Disco and am always concerned about a potential oil pump failure as I know many of you are.

I know many have wrote about the addition of oil pressure gauges and coolant temp gauges and I just wanted to take this a step further as I don't see it reported.

GlowShift sells a gauge by the name "Elite 10" that offers a "MINIMUM" and "MAX" setting that will give you both a visual indication and an audio indication when either of these are reached. If you are not the only driver of the auto and even if you are, a gauge can get overlooked in the seconds within a failure that by recognition of the audio alert may save your engine.

I've installed these gauges in both my Disco's and hope this will allow me to drive them for many years to come. If anyone has any questions please let me know.

I like the location where you mounted them. I am not too crazy about the ones that I have seen mounted on the A pillar. They remind me of souped up Honda Civics.

Thanks, I was going to make a custom wood housing in this location but didn't have the time to do so, it would have looked real nice. It was great since the gauge came with everything you see. The wife also likes that she doesn't have to keep her eye on a gauge, just pull over if you hear the sound and shut down. I didn't need to drill a hole in anything. Just placed a small slit in the gasket where the harness comes thru the fire wall to run the sending unit wires.
