Timing indication pointer
First time poster, but long time user of these forums. I have learned tons on this forum and am amazed at the level of knowledge and support you folks offer.
So during the routine maintenance procedure listed, I pulled the rotator arm off the distributor and heard a "clunk" the arm was then floppy. I disassembled the Distributor and sure enough one of the springs had popped off. Easy enough, now however I have to reset the timing on the truck.
I found the timing marks easy enough, they seem to be in better shape than some folks (no cleaning required) however I can't find the pointer! The diagram in the manual is not helpful at all. Am I looking on the bottom of the truck (seem wrong since the marks indicate TDC is on the top of the pulley but I'll be damned if I can figure out how you would see the pulley from the top. Too much stuff in the way.
Truck is a 95 D1 V8.
Thanks!

Figured it out. It's a bit of a peek down though the pulleys to glimpse the pointer. Now of course the Rover won't start to let me check the timing.. Chasing one thing after another.
