Question 03 DII Alternator/Electrical Problems

I have an 03 DII and am having some issues to sort out, any help/advice is greatly appreciated. First the fuse under the passeger seat would go and blow quick, then the dome light would remain on followed by the radio LED lights staying on while the car was off draining not one but two batteries. I would often have to jump my car off after a new light i wasn't watching for would stay on all night. Know that I am trying to jump her off now, the horn immediately sounds when I attached the jumper cables. I have tried already leaving the key in so I deactivate in security system but to know avail. I have disconnected the battery cables in an attempt to reset things but it didn't work. As it stands, my car is in operable. Didn't know if its my alternator or something greater.

As I said, any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't jump it like that unless you want to fry your system.
Take the battery out, get a 2 hour charge on it then have it tested, could be bad if so replace it with an 800 CCA or higher battery then start over.

I have tried and my horn sounds while trying to connect the battery cables. What could be causing the electrical issues to drain the batteries and then this?

Dome light staying on is probably a door switch gone bad. The horn is going off probably due to the alarm. try dis-arming when you connect the battery.

A wet fuse box will cause all kinds of hassle, but with the truck off, you can search circuits to see what still has power with the truck off.

Rave manual is a free download in my sig and has electrical diagrams in it.

What is the best way to search for a fuse/circuit that still has power while the vehicle is turned off?
