03 disco 2 dtc codes...
Hi, I recently purchased an 03 disco 2 with a blown head gasket and of course the ticking... I have pulled the engine and replace all seals and gaskets. Had about .008" taken of the heads too. Put it all back together and amazingly it fired up. It has been throwing miss-fire codes and you can feel it cut out while driving. Today the mil has started flashing and after shut off, it would'nt crank for about 10 min. I'm currently suspecting that the o2 sensors are probably shot due to coolant in the exhaust system. Here are some codes that it has.P1300...Multiple cyl miss-fireP0103...Mass flow sensor highP0150?P0112...o2 sensor fault bank bP0306...miss-fire #6P0302...miss-fire#2P1129...mystery?Would bank "B" be on the passenger side? I appreciate any help with this diagnosis

Flashing is bad your cats could also be ruined and that would cause it to flash. Bank 2 would be passenger side. Mass air flow will also cause all kinds of symptoms misfire/ stalling/ sputtering ect so i would check that out. Have you replaced the front drive shaft yet? If not you need to do that. Good job on your success of tear down and putting it back together! Did you have any extra nuts/ bolts???

No, I haven't checked any fuses, but that will be the first thing I check! Thanks MX468!I've done some studying and the P1129 (O2 sensors swapped bank to bank (sensor 1) Front sensors transposed) Is kind of bothering me. A local shop worked on this truck for the po. They mentioned that an o2 sensor could be shorted to ground and cause all kinds of faults. Is why MX468 has mentioned checking fuses?

lr2001silver.... we parked that dude after the flashing mil. Too bad its at my house and not the shop. The only bolts I replaced were the head bolts. It really wasn't too difficult to do, the radiator and all those hoses were the most pain! I have not replaced the front drive shaft yet. Thanks for the good job....But she still ticks! lol

Thanks Silver.... I plan on doing the pressure test sometime this next week. The heads were a factory mill, so they still had .5mm on them. Do you know if I can get a gear train only for the pump, or do I have to get the whole timing cover? That dude is salty! I have a machine shop so I could do a little resurfacing to the thrust plate if I have to.
