Default 03 Discovery A/C not working

Well here in South Florida its still summer ( january-dec) lol and when I was driving, I adjusted A/C temp down and then it stopped getting cold... so I turned it off... I am getting about 85 psi low and high side and clutch not engaging... Ive used meter on both compressor and harness and do not get any reading.. ill will check tomorrow and jump compressor terminals and see if I can get clutch to lock up... here is a pic of my gauge after warming up to operating temps.. fans running on condenser so thats not an issue...pressures sit around 85 psi Low and 85 PSI High, and outside temps around 70-80deg F

You put in too much freon.
The compressor is probably going on and off really fast now as it hits over pressure and shuts down.

Get some freon evacuated until the compressor runs steady on LO.

Did you add any freon? Not sure if you can get too much extra in if you are just adding cans on the low side. The cans don't have much pressure in them. You can try purging some out but if you haven't added any that's not your problem.

Over pressure is a lot higher than 85 PSI. Check to be sure compressor is engaging.

He means 85 psi on the low and high side is not overpressured. The pressure switch opens at 29 psi and dropping or 464 psi and rising. You may be low on freon which is why your compressor isn't engaging. It may be that as soon as it does your pressure drops too low and the clutch cuts out. You can check the relay, and try jumping the clutch to see if it engages while watching the pressures to make sure they don't drop to less than 29 psi on the low side. You could also try hooking a can up through that yellow line on your fancy HF gauge set (I have the same one!) and see if your compressor comes back to life.

Try it just normally first. Are you familiar with uses the gauges, purging lines, which **** to turn and when? ( if you just bought the gauges or borrowed them from a friend there are more steps).
