Got and cut mine two days ago. I'm away from home now, so have not checked in... Getting it cut was slightly challenging for the shop because the shoulder and width were off a bit, but they got it and it works great!

Got my key today. Got the internals switched over. Going to get it cut tomorrow! It's pretty nice key. Better than I was expecting.

Local locksmith screwed up the cut on my key today!! I knew I should have driven across town to the guy I usually use!

The one I got is a unique cut. They cannot simply put it on the machine and cut it. They needed to manipulate it's position on the cutting wheels a bit to get it right. It will take an experienced key cutter to get it right. I wouldn't take it to WalMart. At least that was the case with mine.

Exactly why I took it to a local locksmith instead of a chain store. I'll take the next one across town to the guy I KNOW can do it right.

Mine got messed up too by the cutter. I think I'm just going to stick with the original for now... But the guy did pick the lock on my tow hitch thing for free previous owner put a lock on the hitch but I had no key to get it off.

DOH! I just cut my lock off a couple days ago because I lost the key in my last move.

EDIT: I just got back from Reno last night. We were there for 3 days at Silver Legacy. Wish I'd have known, I could have taken my key to your cutter to have them match the cut. It does take someone who's willing to fiddle with it a bit. Before cutting, my key was too wide to fit into the ignition or doors. After cutting, they had to grind the tip just a bit too.

I had mine cut last week at the local true value. I had to disassemble it and give him just the key or it wouldn't fit in his machine.

I'm glad the OP posted this. It hadn't occured to me to check ebay for a new fob case.

Nice. Reno is a nice place and lots of great trails to run around here.

I took mine to ABC Lock and Glass as recommended by my indie rover mechanic. The guy there was real nice and fiddled with it for a while to try and get it cut. He said that the tip of the key was the issue because apparently it is slightly longer than OEM. I would have probably asked him to pay for the new blade since he messed it up, but like I said he picked the lock on my hitch for free, so I figured we were even.

Hope others have more success!
