Default 03 discovery ps leak

I have a 2003 discovery and I finally located my ps leak. It is coming from the base of the solid line at the front top of steering box. I loosened the nut that holds the plate in place and the line appears to be seating properly but after tightening it is still leaking. the plate that holds the two lines to the top of the box appears to bowed downward in the middle. Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be an o ring on this line to keep from leaking around the flared base?

Thanks

I have no idea if there is a o-ring there or not.
I do not think there is.
Power steering leaks are very common.
Start buy using a power steering fluid with stop leak to top off your system.
If it does not get better after adding half the bottle or so then you need to dig deeper.

Default I tried

I already tried stop leak before I found out where it was leaking from. Tomorrow I will try to put on an o ring and re tighten. It went through one quart today alone. It doesn't leak from the line but where the line goes into the top of the steering box/

Gotcha...either a o-ring or maybe thread tape?

The plate that holds down both hard lines is supposed to be Flat. Remove it and hammer it back to as flat as you can. Also, check the threads on the fastener that holds it down and if they look worn replace it as well.

Yes, those lines do have O-rings, you should replace them.

I need to get the plate off of the tube so I can hammer it flat. Can anyone tell me how to get it off. I can not see where the end of the line that goes to the radiator ends at. I am assuming that it must be disconnected at this end to slide the plate off of the line.

Thanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
