Default 03 LR SE TIRES

03 - LR Discovery SE, and i'm looking for some new tires...
i have currently 255/55/18 Goodyear.... was looking for some different, more reliable, and hopefully more "4Wheeldrive" tires...
Don't have to have knobby tires, rarely get off road, however don't like the look of "street tires" on a LR.
If you have suggestions i'd appreciate it.

A set of BFG All Terrain tires would look great and last for ever.

I run OEM size Falken STZ 04 tires on my '03 SE7 and I have been very pleased with them so far.

Hey Mike when you say BFG All Terrian are you talking about the T/A KO model? If you are, how are these on road? I, like dglass, rarely get off road but I am looking to get a more aggressive tire on my truck. Also, whats the best size to get for the 16' rims that came stock. Thanks alot

They have a little more road noise to them but I have Toyo Open Country A/Ts on my '95 Montero and they are pretty aggressive and good on the road too. I have been very satisfied with them, didn't put them on my 'new' Disco though because I wanted a quieter tire on the Disco.

Loved the Toyo Open Country A/Ts that I had on my 18" rims. Stock size is readily available. they wore really well and were cheap too! I went with them for my "new" 16" rims also.

I don't know about "lasting forever." 40k miles is a pretty good estimate.

I know people who have gotten 60K out of a set of KO's. BFG is known for their tread wear, even my BFG MT's get 50,000 plus miles easily, and I do alot of wheeling when I can.

Hello, I put on my 03 285/60R18 NITTO TERRA GRAPPLER +31".I just tested them a month ago by driving over Mt Hood Or. in a blizzard. There was no loss of traction while going over the pass. They have no additional road noise and a great aggressive look. I would recommend these tires for daily driving and off-road.

Does anyone else have another option?
