Thanks for the quick replies guys.

Ya, I pulled the front cover. Doing the timing chain, cams and oil pump while it's off.

Hmmm... 50/50 on the placement.

i drove mine home (deep) my thinking was the new seal would be riding on an new section of the crankshaft instead on riding where the old one had been.
