RE: 04 to 01 headlight conversion
I was looking around on EBAY at parts for Disco II's and came arcross a seller that has 03-04 headlights and there was a link on how and what you need to convert them,it was dead but it seems you can buy the lights and a parts that enables you to install them on the 99-02 models.
I can try to explain it here, seems the little strip that goes under the light that enables you to fit the bubble in the light was for sale, now I do not own a Disco II yet,but a planning on buying,so I do not know if you need a balister for the new lights.
I am planning on giving it a try,if it cannot work I can always resell them on EBAY and get my money back.
Since you own a Disco II already look at your lights and then look at the 03 model, see if the mounting screws match up and stuff if they do all you would need is that little strip to fit it,even if the wiring plugs are diffrent you can always replace them to fit,no biggie there, even if the mounting screws are diffrent should be an easy job to fab them in,if they fit,the major problom is any cutting that needs done to fit them, might not be worth it then.
I fit Chevy tail lights in my 87 Ford F-150,it at first looked liket a hard fit but it was easy,I did have to cut a little and shape but I used Stainless steel for fill and needed no paiting and looks like good, nice even flow, just think out of the box is all.
