Default 04 d2 chirping while moving

There has been this chirping noise coming from underneath, I was reading it might be the drives driveshaft but not 100% sure. Any ideas?

Check everything that rotates when moving: Wheel Bearings, Drive Shaft Couplings, Brake Rotor high-spots, etc.

I'd take a long hard look at the driveshaft, first. Then move on to other items mentioned above. That shaft lets loose, and you're in for expensive repairs.

I just checked the driveshaft, never bothered to really check if it had nipples and it does, I relubed the front of the front and the rear drive shaft, still is chirping. Wasn't able to get to the nipple on the rear of the front shaft cause the nipples are too small for my coupler

If it has a greaseable front shaft...and you haven't greased it in over 10K or less if you off road at all. It needs to be done, pronto, immediately, right now. A greaseable shaft has to be greased frequently, l'd say every 3K/4K...since it is designed to be greased. Sealed u-joints last a good while, because they are sealed better and can withstand the elements longer.

Your center portion of the cardan joint (rear of front shaft) sometimes has to be dropped down to get enough room to lube fitting, which is normally somewhat flush and takes a different style fitting on your grease-gun. Remove four nuts from yoke and investigate movement or sloppiness.

Me, since you have an 04, remove shaft, lock CDL and drive it...if the chirping is gone...then you know where the problem is. If it stil chirps, lube the shaft properly and reinstall.

Did the rear shaft joint take grease easily?

Does the noise change if you turn slightly from left to right while dtiving?

Does the noise change at all while applying the brakes?

Truthfully, it sure sounds like the center portion of the cardan joint is dry to me.

Good luck.

If it's the D shaft and it's squeaking, it's too late to grease for any good effect....that's metal on metal center ball...maybe you have 10 miles, or maybe you have 100 miles before it gives out....

The rear shaft joint lubed easily, not the nipple on the shaft itself
Turning doesn't change the sound, the chirping just gets faster or slower with speed
I thought it was breaks at first so I replaced all the pads and rotors
I lubed everything except the cardan joint and it still chirps, I'll have to take it off tomorrow

Now the rear of the front drive shaft won't come off
