Default '04 D2 Noise following cold start. Water pump??

Hey everyone,

I have an '04 Disco 2 that's been my winter daily up in Vermont. Recently since temps have dropped to the teens and single digits, there is a sort of grinding/whining noise (videos attached) upon cold start that typically lasts about 10 minutes or so and then fades away. I popped the hood and it sounds like it could be the water pump. Looking for input on what this could be before ordering parts. Thanks.

Any chance the coolant is not up to the challenge and you have some frozen fluid somewhere? Use a stethoscope to confirm location, or pull off the acc belt for a few seconds, see if it changes.
