Magnacore makes race quality wire sets.
Kingsbourne are also good wires.
I have no idea how well the Accell wire will hold up.
I can tell you from experience that cheap wires will not last.
My first set of cheap wires lasted a year, my second set lasted a week.
Magnecores have been on for 3? years now.

I have switched after years of running the Plus 4's to the E3-48 plug and have been quite pleased.
Buy the Magnacor 8 mm wires thru Google or Amazon, my set is going on 10 years old this coming June.

Mike, did you notice any difference between plus4's and E3-48, or they are running just as well as plus 4s.

Any objections to a NGK wire set, being that they are 8mm?
Was going to put the platinum plus 4 plugs for sure, just wondering if any good quality 8mm wire set will work?

Talking my $.02

Again, my $.02 and experience. YMMV.

I my experience higher compression motors tend to favor copper or iridium over platinum. This was true in my Volvo 945 turbo and 855 Turbo.

I had E3's in my D2 when pruchased, switched to iridium. Seems to idle smoother, cannot say it is due to plug. Just did head gasket and tons of other stuff.
I chose iridium due to life expectancy of plug. IIRC, copper is a better conductor of electricity than iridium, but you have to change more often.
I feel the +2,+3,+4 plugs are a marketing tool.

When I get enough funds I am going to get some Magnacor wires. After having issues with auto parts store brands, I want something I do not have to fool with because it falls apart, degrades, etc. Kinda get what you pay for mentality...I am currently running Autozone brand wires until I get Magnacors.
