Default 04 disco muffler question

I want to remove my cats and just put straight pipe in place, I also want to replace the stock muffler with an aftermarket...like a magnaflow. They have one that is single inlet, dual outlet Anyone use this type of muffler before?
I wanted to go with the dual outlet to help with less restriction
Any issues removing the cats or shouldnt be a problem
Thanks in advance

I can tell you that the cats will be rough as you have some downstream O2 sensors right around there

I think my truck currently has no muffler. My exhaust tip is turned down and ends prior to the bumper so its technically hidden from view ,which is crazy since I'm lifted 4.5" and running 33's lol you can see everything under my truck,

I have heard pros and cons on the cats, I know they are very restrictive so I would sooner remove them and open up the exhaust.
Anyone have any experience with removing the cats and any issues

There is a detailed write-up on that issue somewhere (I looked but no luck)

Essentially the guy welded a bung into his pipes to mount the downstream O2 sensors.

there are angled bungs that screw into the existing spot it you just cut them and weld a pipe in place. They lift up and then angle to in a sense cheat the system. It also depends on where you live it at and if they try to get you on emissions.

I successfully deleted the cats. Honestly, the gains are pretty much nonexistent. You can get just as much gain from installing high flow spun style cats. I'd recommend that over deletion because a.) its a LOT louder without them b.) the ozone layer likes cats and c.) in the US its a $10,000 federal fine if you're caught without them. And officer can write the ticket based on both a visual check and a smell test.

Im in Fla there are no emissions and a PO CAN write a ticket for an exhaust violation but since the 10,000 fine is federal there is NO chance of that happening on the city level.
I just want the cats out period, they do restrict the system.....anyone know where to get the angled bungs for the O2 sensors.

you can google them or get em off eBay. There was a write up somewhere on the forum where somebody did it and had all the info. I can't remember who it was but do what you wanna man. It's your truck. I took my original out and put an on oem magnaflow y pipe just BC I didn't want to dick with an exhaust shop griping about not having cats

If you're bound and determined, you need the longer angled spacers on eBay. M18 size. They thread into the bung already in the pipe.

They're not restricting your exhaust further if you're using stock manifolds. Long tubes you may notice slight gains over 4k rpm, but no MPG gains.
