04 disco overhearing question

Would you see bubbles right away in the coolant if that was the case ? Why would it be so fast you think ? Coolant would just disappear into engine that quick or is it no circulating properly ?
im going to look at a 04 that guy spent tons on new head gaskets thermostat rad fans etc and says it overheats after 15 min.
I just wondering if it’s a thermostat or something that’s stuck.
Any easy quick way to tell if block is cracked

I've also saved a few D2's with basically the same line aka previous owner dumped $$$$ into it and still overheated. Popped the hood and found the original thermostat clogged with dexcool goo and the thermostat wouldn't open...... 2k in HG work and no one bothered to replace a 35.00 thermostat. I've seen it many many times! It could be something simple or it could be a fried engine.
here is the ad and what he says
Runs rough and overheating after a few weeks
Black leather, 7 seater
New thermostat
New radiator
New radiator fan
New clutch fan
Tune up
Oil changed
New hoses
Spark plugs
Air filter
Machined head
New head gasket and bolts
Give me an offer

New water pump is missing from that list. You should be able to tell something about the pump function from the flow back into the reservoir bottle.
If the current owner is relying on the dash gauge to say when the engine has overheated, bear in mind that there may be some issues that have arisen related to that after the head gasket work was done.
