Default 04 DISCOVERY II. WON'T START!!

Pls help,
My 2004 Discovery will not start. It seems like my battery dont have enough juice (new battery), when use jumper cables it seems like its trying to start (starter i think runs) but car will not start...
What should I check first? what are possible things that could cause it.

Thanks.

Take your battery down to where evr you bought it or Auto Zone and have it load tested and then charged if it is still good, reinstall it cleaning all the connections as you go.
If it still won't start, you should be able to jump it to get it going, then take the truck in to Auto Zone or where ever and have the alternator load tested.

Just an add-on to Mike's advice- I've seen brand new batteries be defective.

X3 on testing battery. I had to get one for my CTS at the dealer. No one makes one. I got it home and it was dead. They gave me another one and threw in a hat and T-shirt for my troubles.....(now I can be totally fly with my Cadillac hat)
