Hey Guys,

I wanted to update my status on the site to help others see what i have encountred with my truck so far.

I just recently finished a long 1 month 4k mile trip back and forth from NJ to Vermont for some great snowboarding. I rented a house and took advantage of all the Green Mtn State had to offer.

i changed the oil twice with 5w-30 conventional oil. Oil was black after the first 3k miles so i will have to look into flushing out the motor after my next oil change

I blew out one of my Crystal Vision Headlights . I think it was from constatantly switching from high beams to low beams.
One of my cheapo yellow Ebay fog light bulbs blew out .

Other than that the truck was fanatastic . It handled the Hwy smoothly, the snowy roads were no problem, and the cold starts in 0 degress were not an issue. I burned alot of fuel though, i got ~376 miles/tank on 93.

She's got 62K miles on her now and i got a lot of Preventive maintenance to do.

All in all, it was fun eating, listening to my XM, and chilling in the truck on the way up. It was a 6 hr ride and it felt great!!!

 

376 miles per tank? I wish i could get that out of my '03 Disco. 300 on a tank is phenomenal for me lol.

 

I try to adhere to all the suggestions on here about keeping the oil fresh, clean air filter and proper air pressure in the rubber.

I will be doing the +4's and the 8mm Mags in a few weeks.
