1/2 sized front bumper cover
Yes, that just a trimmed factory bumper. I did that years ago after cracking the bottom of the factory bumper. Looks good and easy to do as the plastic cuts really easy. Unfortunately, my "half-bumper" has now cracked after I hit some road debris, so I plan on getting a new after market bumper soon. Waiting on Lucky 8 to cut me a killer deal on a TJM, Terrafirma, whatever.
I used a hack saw on mine. I've also heard of people having luck with angle grinders using thin cutting wheels. Put masking tape on and mark your line before cutting to protect the pint from chipping.
I put masking tape where I wanted to cut and used an angle grinder with a cut off wheel. It only took a few minutes. Seriously easy. Despite being brittle to impact, the plastic cuts easily and cleanly as the speed of the wheel heats it and melts it while cutting.
Kalahari Front Bumpers rolled off the factory floor like that, but they had nicely made panels to still enclose the back side of it. When I got my 02 Kalahari I immediately saved the front bumper. It's now on my 99 D2.
