Thank you very mucho for that tip! I do plan to just unbolt the bracket, unclip the 2 connectors and pull the whole assembly out.

 

I had a cylinder 6 misfire almost every morning a few months back.it winded up being coolant getting into cylinder 6.small coolant leaks will form in various places,usually at weak spots in the system from combustion gases building up too high.this was the case with my truck. are your radiator hoses swollen and harder than normal after running the engine for a while? just to rule out water in your cylinder,pull the spark plug out after engine sits for a while or the next morning and crank the engine.if coolant is in the cylinder it will shoot it out,you will see it.i was ready to order a new top hat motor.as a last resort i desided to use a bottle of barrs block sealer and 4 months and 4k miles later its still holding up.
