Yep, astonishingly, she hit 100,000 this week on my way down to 'Bama. I hope to see her hit 200k someday.

Thats cool man. Are you doing anything special for maintenance?
  • I'm at 400miles before 90k and was going to do a transmission fluid change.
  • Marvel mystery oil change and and run it for 500 mile drop the oil pan gasket and clean it up. Replace with a new oil pan gasket
  • Fuel treatment and induction cleaning is all recently done.
  • Anything else you can might do?

Sweet, it's not very often you get 2 whacks at hitting 100K, is that what they meant by "Only in a Land Rover"?

Yes Mike.
The full 60,000 mile service was completed by me at about 63k. Do I need to do all that again 30,000 miles later? I thought that would be every 60,000 (As in 60k Service). With changing diff/transfer case fliud every 30k and ATF every 30k. New ATF & filter every 60k. Plugs/wires, 4 0'2s,CPS was all new at about 65 too. Just making sure those internals would be correct.

Mine was maintenanced to the minimal before I got it. Shoot, the only thing they really did was replaced the windows in it after they rolled it.

I put Magnecor wires on it before my trip, wow did that make a world of a difference. Just follow the 60k Service that Disco Mike has up, and you'll be golden!

Took me 2 tanks to get down here.
The first tank averaged 17.6 without the a/c on, driving @ 67mph.
The second tank averaged 19.3 WITH the a/c on driving thru the mountains @ 71 mph.

Odd that it got better on the second tank. That dang Michigan gas is poison I tells ya!

The elevation also makes a difference.
