Default 17 inch rim for LR Dll

Did a quick search, here and ebay, but came up empty. Do they make a 17 inch rim for the Dll? Guy at work has some 35 M/T tires, and said I could have them, but they are 17's. If I could get a cheap set of rims...l'd snag them up.

Thanks, for any info.

Brian.

Lucky8 used to don't think the demand was there. If Memory serves though you could probably find something that matches lug pattern and center bore from bmw

There's always the option of some steel rims, too. 5x4.75 pattern.

16, 18 and 20 are the norm. I've never seen or heard of 17" rims before for a 5 stud 120 PCD

There are some steel rims around but whether they are for a Defender or Discovery is not clear. If you glance through the LRO mag they advertise 17" wheels in there.

BMW shares the same pattern and centre bore. With the exception of the E34. There's tons of 17" options, super popular from the E46 and E9x era.

I am also exploring the possibility of putting 17 inch rims from BMW - they are so much easier and cheaper to get. But are the BMW ones strong enough? Anyone knows if it would make a difference if they are from a series 5 or an X5?

Even a 3 series wheel will be strong enough. They're not like light weight aftermarket wheels. They're built much stronger, but they'll likely not bend, they will crack.

The only wheels that wouldn't work are E34 or E39 M parallels. They have a different bore size than the rest. They're not any stronger.
