I dont think anything rusted out on the window, I think it just may have come off because you can here it going up and down, and it will push on the window to go up, but not down. However, if I need the new plastic rotors, can I get them at a carquest or do they need to be ordered from LR.

I got the window fixed. Took me almost three hours to do. the glue on the rubber had let loose of the window and would push it up but not take it down. The track that the rubber fits in was bent and pretty rusty to so I took that apart and cleaned it up. Then I glued the rubber back on the track let it sit for about 30 mins, and then put a good line of super strong glue stuff slid the window between it put the door back togeather, rolled the window up and am going to let it sit for a good 24 hours to dry. I think I found out why the check engine light illuminated also, When I put the radiator fluid in, I didnt know that it was the kind you had to mix water with. OOPS So since it was down a bit I added a 2 cups of water and tried to mix it the best I can. I'm assuming thats what caused the light to come on. Also I got my oil changed and they put 6.2 quarts in, changed a couple tail light bulbs that were burnt for $32. I trust the place alot as a close family friend is the manager. But after the change I have noticed a slight oil smell? What type of oil is supposed to go in the discovery II to make sure they put the right in there...

Ok kido, I know you are learning so I will take it easy on you.
You can be totally out of coolant and your check engine light will NOT come on, you can be driving with the oil light on and the check engine light will NOT come on.
The ONLY things that will set off the check engine light are things that are controlled by the trucks computer, NOTHING else will set the light off, ONLY COMPUTER CONTROLLED THINGS.
So adding straight coolant, or straight water, or straight urine to the radiator will NOT set off the check engine light.
In the future change your own light bulbs, you can buy them at the autoparts store and the labor is free.
10w-40 is what you need in a Disco.
You smell oil because they spilled some and it is getting hot, once it burns off it wont smell anymore.
Good work on the window.

AK Rover, your comment hurts Four wheelers float and so do Suzuki Samurais (just a four wheeler with a cab). Bottomless mud is not where a Rover will perform well, but neither most cars. There is a lot to do with driving technique and tires. I will follow with my Rover anybody in any other brand SUV with the same tires and ground clearance anywhere.
