From 18" to 16" Tire Suggestions
Greetings Disco Gurus.
I've got 18" wheels with Goodyear Eagle LS2's in the stock tire size (255/55R18) on my 2001. Despite being M&S rated, I'm not very impressed with the snow performance. Like to keep them for summer use only.
I recently did a 2" TF lift and got a set of 16" wheels (thanks Marty!) with the intention of getting some Mud & Snow rated tires for winter driving.
Like to get something that is inexpensive, long lasting and mostly oriented toward severe weather road driving. Not going to off road other than the occasional dirt road. Don't want to get bigger tires and kill the mileage.
What have you had good experiences with?
Thanks!!!
Chris

I just put these on. Have not had them long enough to know how they will last. Super Cheap! Around $700 Complete Installed. Took to the snow yesterday and was VERY pleased. Took a steep snowy/icy hill very well up to a secluded chapel in the mountains. 265/75R16 and no rubbing at all on stock suspension (Although, still have not flexed it all the way yet). They Look GREAT and fill in the wheel well nicely.
PS: My mileage went UP! from 13.6mpg stock tires - 14.1mpg as of yesterday on these. Been running them about a month now.
