Default 180 tstat noise

Hello everyone, I received the gray 0EM 1 80 thermostat from British parts of Utah but before I install does I want to ask a question. There’s something loose inside the thermostat... when I move it around in my hand I hear a rattling sound... something is moving around. Is this normal? Or is there some thing that got damaged during shipping? If so of course I would not install it
thanks

I don't have that particular stat, but it's probably just the jiggle pin. It allows trapped air to pass through. this is a generic pic.

It’s normal. Mine had the same jiggle too on my black soft spring t-stat back in 2016.

That would make sense it sounds like a mini pecan rattle but it does sound like something very small

Send it back and do the inline mod, it works much better.
