I was looking to purchase a 1993 Discovery with 150k on it. The unit runs well and no noticable leaks. The only two problems I found was the check engine light comes on and the front sunroof only opens about 6 inches and then stops. I was wondering on the check engine light if the was a way of getting any type of codes or has there has been many O2 sensor problems when they get over a 100k. Any advice would be appreciated.

 

I would advise not to purchase a Disco with this mileage unless you are familiar with those vehicles (and can do most repair work yourself). A history of maintanance and repairs would also be anear necessity. The exception to what I say above, would be if the price is low enough and you don't mind the idea of running the vehicle until it stops and then selling it off for almost nothing This is just might opinion, however, and I am curious as to what other members on the forum might say...
