1994 Discovery Erratic Idle and Stalling
As of late my Discovery with 158,000 miles has had an erratic idle. Meaning that it would sometimes stumble at red lights and when started rev up to 1500 rpm and then drop and level off.
Sometimes the idle dips and it seems like it wants to stall then it jumps back up and seems ok till the next stumble.......
Within the last week it has developed another issue in that it stalls out when warmed up and will crankback up and then stall out again after a few miles.
I took the Idle air bypass sensor out and cleaned it up and the contacts for it.
I also took out the PCV and cleaned it out thoroughly.
Is there something I am missing.... I have read on the forums to try to check the Engine Temp Coolant sensor?...But the temp on the guage cluster seems normal.....
Any ideas where to start?
Thanks

RE: 1994 Discovery Erratic Idle and Stalling
Hmm i have the idle problem, when starting it jumps up to 1500 rpm for about 15seconds. But as we talked about before in email Mike I believe my problem is the K&N filter i have in there (Will have it switched out by Monday or Tuesday) plan to order it from roverparts when i order my cig lighter part
Again thanks for letting me know about the K&N air filter

RE: 1994 Discovery Erratic Idle and Stalling
Tonight I went and drove the Rover up to operating temp and then read the code(s)
The Display is showing CODE 19....
Are there any other codes? In otherwords is there something else I should be doing to cycle the display to check if there are any others?
Thanks all
