So, it appears that the rear actuator is leaking from what I can tell. There is a rubber accordion style boot one on end of the actuator that has a small split in it. When I move the boot around, fluid comes out of that. It's a steady drip about once a minute or so.

I haven't looked for a replacement yet, but I'm guessing they are out there? Probably a pretty penny too.

Make sure it's not coming from flex hose and going in the boot.
I got 2nd hand spares from Abran. I assume a lot of dismantlers have them

New actuators aren't a crazy price - and fitting is straightforward

Could be from a hose within the boot? The actuator itself is dry with no signs of leaking, but it appears to be coming from within the boot somewhere. I'm guessing the boot covers up some hoses? I haven't tried to get the boot off, it looks pretty fragile, seeing as it already is splitting in places. I might have to get in touch with abran. I've dealt with him before on some parts a few months ago.

just cut that little guy off (boot). if its split, you were likely getting debris in there and that will infiltrated the shaft seal and it will leak. no hoses in there. you would need to replace boot anyway. I was suggesting that you look at the hoses connected to the body of it and make sure they were not pushing fluid, from a leak, towards the boot.
so if leak is, in fact, from inside the boot......just get a new actuator.

tip.....front and rear are the exact same, so no need to look for designated location. sometimes ebay guys will list goofy stuff like " left side cylinder head" just pointless description and they prolly don't realize that they are interchangeable.

Hey folks, my valve block's leaking where the pipes connect - new seals won't fix. Is it possible to machine out the threads without swarf getting into the valves? Don't want to replace with anti-roll bars if I can help it; but a new block is £1000!!!

First, might consider buying a used actuator from Paul Grant, is prices and service are great, his number is below in my signature section.

As for the leaking ACE in Ireland, if just a wet spot and not a drip there are P/S leak additives that can work which I would try if it were mine and before spending the big Pounds.

you may want to find if the problem is in the block threads or the line threads, before buying anything
