My girlfriend bought this 1999 Disco 2 but looks off especially from the front. So, I’m starting to sort out some issues it has for her but, I need the expertise from fellow members. It seems to be recently painted and more than likely has been in an accident as I suspect the front bumper is from a Disco 1? Did all 1999 Disco 2’s come with fender flares or was that an option? I’ve attached a couple of photos. Anything else look off besides the bumper and missing flares? Thanks in advance.
Someone replaced the headlights, bumper etc with bits from a disco 1 and removed the factory flare covers. The front bumper also doesn't look like its level so there may be some damage behind it that was properly straightened could just be the pic though
The way the headlight is sitting in there and fender position, looks like there is probably damage behind them...causing poor alignment of hood/fender/turn signal/bumper gaps. Front bumper is off Dl, which clearly doesn't belong...causing weird gaps beneath headlights. I'd at least remove drivers side headlight and take a look. Most likely, mounting area is damaged.
Thank you guys for confirming the bumper is off a D1. I will order a correct bumper and have the whole front end fitted to proper specs and post photos along with other cosmetic issues I'll be addressing. Thanks again!
