Default 2 inch lift question

So I'm looking at options to lift my disco 2 inches. Lucky8 sells a spring and shock package (terrafirma) for around $450. Atlantic British sells the same but also has 2 inch spacer for the front and rear for way cheaper. Has anyone gone the spacer route and how was it? The goal is just to clear a larger tire and not necessarily enhance off road capabilities.

Both work. Spring and shock kit is nice because everything is new. A lot of people say the ride improves, which makes sense with new shocks.

I generally go cheap, reusing shocks by modifying shock mounts, spare set of rear springs in the front, making 3" spacers for the rear.

The spacers you can buy will pretty much maintain the ride you have *as long* as they come with shock tab extensions for the rear shocks.

Thanks Alex. The disco rides great right now so I'm not looking to improve it. This is what I'm looking at.
Amazon Amazon
. What about the rear shock tabs?

Looks like there's no shock tab extensions.

You'll need something like these for the rear. These *might* even work. If I can in the next few days, I'll measure my disco and my Silverado and see if they're close enough.

I went with the shocks and springs - my original equipment ended up saggin' so much I'd bottom out on a fairly easy off road trail. After installing the new parts it was more like a 3 inch lift from what I was used to.

Would it still work without the tabs?

It will make your ride harsh because the rear shocks will top out over bumps. Makes for a really rough ride.

Lol...thanks man. I'm a little confused on that link. Is that something you install with the spacers?
